treasure fest was this weekend. not only did viewfinder play our first out of town show, it was just an awesome weekend. saw so many friends and made a bunch of new pals, and saw some fucking awesome bands. i am so into the idea of paying $25 (i got a pass cause i was playing the fest BRAGGIN’) to see not too many huge name bands and a bunch of just regular ole bands and having a great time. there was no pressure to see THIS band and THAT band and there were NO lines! it was all laid back and everyone was really nice, i didn’t get cool guy’d by anyone.
not bashing FEST or this is hardcore or riot fest, but i shouldn’t have to reorganize my finances for an entire year to spend a weekend seeing bands that probably should’ve hung the towel up in the 90’s. now i’m not saying i’d not see MLIW if i had the money, hell yeah i’d do that shit, it’s just huge fests are becoming less and less appealing to me i guess? let ponx who still wear jnco’s have nostalgia, i had a fuckload of fun for half the cost of just a fest ticket.
